Mattson Ricketts is proud to represent leading livestock associations and numerous livestock feeding operations in zoning and nuisance cases. The firm represents livestock operations only and does not represent opponents freeing it from any issue conflicts. With respect to zoning issues, Mattson Ricketts takes a proactive approach preferring to represent producers early in the process through County Planning Commissions, County Boards and if necessary through Boards of Adjustment and the court system. The firm has also secured one of the only known dismissals of a nuisance lawsuit following trial under Nebraska's Right to Farm Act. Steve Mossman regularly speaks at seminars involving livestock issues. A video of one of his seminar presentations can be accessed here: http://webvideo.unl.edu/pork-expo-05.html.
