Daniel E. Wherry
Dan Wherry joined the firm in 1989. Dan is a native of Tecumseh, Nebraska. From 1969 to 1972, Dan served as legislative assistant to Senator Roman Hruska and as Minority Counsel on the United States Senate Judiciary Committee. In 1975, after serving three years as an Assistant United States Attorney and head of the Lincoln office, he was appointed United States Attorney from the District of Nebraska. Dan was the youngest U.S. Attorney in the nation at that time. He was appointed to the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission in 1980 and served as its Chairman in 1983. Dan and his wife, Sharon, have two children. Beth is the marketing department of Kraft Food in Chicago. Chris is the Director of National Accounts with Appian Corporation. Chris and his wife and Beth and her husband live in Chicago. Dan's outside interests include gardening, golfing, making snowmen (when the raw materials are available), singing in his church choir, traveling and is an active member of Rotary International.
