Joe Wilkins was born in Geneva, Nebraska and graduated from Doane College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a minor in Sociology.  He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law and has been actively practicing law for the last 20 years in Nebraska and Iowa.  Joe is a partner at the Mattson Ricketts Law Firm where he focuses on representing clients in complex litigation matters. Joe's practice spans a broad spectrum of litigation and includes representing individuals and corporations in commercial matters, environmental, occupational and safety litigation, as well as negligence claims. In his years of practice, he has handled a wide range of commercial and insurance matters, including breach of contract, derivative actions, workers compensation, and insurance coverage. Joe has litigated matters in several states across the midwest and in various federal courts, appellate courts, administrative proceedings and arbitrations. 

While not helping clients address their legal issues, Joe enjoys wake boarding, snowboarding, reading, and traveling.
